This event has been a CCWA tradition since 2004, and is a wonderful time every year! Approximately 100 youngsters are able to enjoy the thrill of catching trout at this event. This event has become a community event and is supported by the Laurel Run Sportsman’s Association and other local business who donate prizes. The derby is also supported by an annual raffle ticket sale. Tickets are sold by members. 

The CCWA holds an annual Kids Fishing Derby on the 3rd Saturday in May, from 9:00 am to 12:00pm.  Registration is free.  The event is held at the Laurel Run Sportsmans Dam in Dysart, PA.  Prizes are awarded for each age group.
