Trout-in-the-Classroom (TIC) is a nation wide program that is run by Trout Unlimited, and in Pennsylvania with the support of the Fish and Boat Commission. In the program students raise trout from eggs to fingerlings. The students then release the trout into a local stream. They learn about trout and their life cycle through the program.
CCWA gives monetary support of this program in a local school, Penn Cambria. In addition to supporting the classroom portion of this project, CCWA also provides a field trip for the students to release their fish. CCWA and other partners also provide materials and information for the students.
